Reasons to run

I retired last year and decided I needed to get fit if I wanted to keep up with my four grown up children (28-35 years old and all now married), and my grandchildren.

Last Saturday at my nephew’s wedding I ran alongside the play area’s zip wire for ages keeping the tiny ones safe (ready to catch them if they fell off) and even had a go myself!

Well worth the effort of C25K 😊

Great idea to keep fit/ get fitter and it's all paid off . You looked like you had as much fun as the children. Well done you 😊😊

Looks like you are having the time of your life. Definitely a good reason to run.

Brilliant. You need full fitness to keep up with the little ones. I have 2 boys, 10 and 7 year olds. Playing Tag is great fun now that I can out sprint and out run the two of them. Although the 10 year old finishes before me at parkrun.

Small kids have lots of energy - then crash out! Having watch me run around on Saturday my eldest daughter has decided she is going to start C25K this week. She even mentioned a possible Parkrun over Christmas when she flys down from Scotland!
