Final week starts tomorrow!

Can’t quite believe it but W9R1 is tomorrow. Feeling confident too, as the third 28-minute run yesterday was fairly manageable and I felt at the end of it that I could have gone on a bit more. What I have noticed however is how different the same run can be from one day to the next in terms of confidence, fatigue and mind set during the run. Do others have similar experiences I wonder?

Well done and enjoy your victory lap!

Yes, each run can be different in the same way that we wake up in different moods some days. There’s a lot of factors that contribute to our runs... what we eat and when (I don’t think any of us eat the exact same meal every evening) how hydrated we are, how well we slept and for how long, stresses from other parts of life, how long/quick the last run was and how much running we’ve done in the last week, etc etc... so two seemingly identical runs can be pretty different. Some runs are tougher than others, sometimes we can find and correct the cause, other times we can’t... finishing the tough run when it comes helps with the mental side of running though, it’s all good, and the next run is usually much smoother.

Have a wonderful week 9.

Exactly. Some runs feel so good and others not so much . Good luck with the start of wk9 😊😊
