I'm a graduate, but I think I overdid it after finishing, and ended up with back and hip pain, so here I am back again, and starting all over again. I'm up to W5R3, but I confess I'm a bit more lackadaisical now - maybe it's the weather! I won't give up though. This forum really motivated me last time...

Welcome back.
It might be worth reminding yourself about some of the basics in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
All runners need good core strength and lack of it can often show up as lower back pain, so it would be a good idea to complement your running with either Strength and Flex (you will find a link in the guide) or some other core strength work, such as planks and bridges.
