Today I intended to run for a bit longer ๐ The thought process was that I'd run 3 x 5k's both during during Week 9 and continued to do so after graduating.
Usual faffing took place before the run, planned the route (sort of), had and extra glass of water and 2 extra wees then off ๐
Drove out, parked up, head space good, radio on, run tracker at the ready and off I went walking for a bit, then ran when I felt ready๐๐ผโโ๏ธ
Took it very slowly, even down hill, even slower up hill ๐ญ turned around at what I thought was a good half way point and headed back... Reached the car and still felt good (no idea of time) so carried on. Again reached a good turning around point and ran back to the car ๐
Took out my phone to stop the run tracker and BOOM! 54 MINUTES! ๐คฃ Felt very slightly disappointed that I'd not done 5 Miles ๐ But over the moon ๐ with the length of time running!
Took some photos of some of the cows I passed on the way ๐
Hope you're all having a great week xxx
P.S. 4.96 miles = 7.98k in new money ๐

Great running... bear in mind the 10% weekly addition rule though... 15k last week gives you 16/17 for this week, and you just aced half of them!! A nice short relaxed run next time out will set you up for a 5k, or vice versa.
So close to 5 miles that Iโd count the first bit of cooldown and be claiming it! Very well done.
๐คฃ Maybe I just want to be the female version of Forrest Gump ๐คฃ Run Forrest! Run! ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ
I am up to 28 minutes now! ๐ Strange to think I have just 5 runs left... so now thinking ahead of different and nicer routes. Today is a rest day so this morning I am going to have a nice long walk at a local nature reserve before work this afternoon. And this Saturday I will attempt my first parkrun!! I still find it tiring though, but the determination and will power is there!
Oh that sounds like a lovely walk at the nature reserve. Do you run there too?
5 more runs to graduating, they will fly by! Very impressed with you doing a Parkrun! Really hope you enjoy it! I really want to do a Parkrun too, but it always seems to clash with other engagements at the moment. When my son goes back to uni next week, my Saturday mornings will be a little less full on โบ๏ธ
Enjoy the rest of your week and good luck on Saturday ๐๐๐ผโโ๏ธ
Oh it was... Lovely sunny day out too! No Iโve not jogged at Attenborough nature reserve yet, but I plan to in the future. Had to drive there this morning though to have enough time before work. Did a 7.8k walk, then afterwards I thought I would check out and walk the park run circuit next to it too. It has some lovely parts along side the river Trent! So glad I checked it out before the park run Saturday ๐ My son came back from his final year at uni a year ago. He doesnโt miss me Saturday mornings, he is usually still in bed! ๐
Wow thatโs fantastic, that is some distance - love the photos and your blog too, it always makes me smile ! Love the piccies too ๐ keep on running and winning !
Iโm enjoying it too, which is weird as I never was into running, a new found hobby to add and fit in..... some days I donโt have time to breathe !
Skirting boards ! They are fine thanx x all painted and fixed to the walls - I ran out after doing a quarter of the work so had to find a DIY store - Iโll phone Mum tomorrow to check they are still in place haha kaboom !! It was such a lovely day weather wise and I spent it indoors ๐ฌ. I would rather have been outside ! What you been up to this week ? Xx
This week in doing my usual teaching and keeping on top of the events at the venue. We've got a live music gig on tonight, a couple of raves with huge sound systems and the launch of the Arts & Heritage Trail around the area where our venue is. So nothing major really โบ๏ธ
Our son's going back to uni next week, so got to do a bit of shopping with him and it's his 21st birthday next week too ๐๏ธ๐
