Are you well rested and fully hydrated and have you fuelled up appropriately?

You don't say what is happening to prevent you completing the run.

Those last few weeks of the plan are when you have to overcome the psychological barriers of running for longer periods. Distraction is a good method. Try listening to a comedy podcast or give yourself a running commentary on everything you can see, feel and hear as you run, or devise a plan to deal with the Irish border once Brexit happens............... anything but think about your efforts and running.

Maybe just slow down.

You can do this.

Thanks for your advice. Just having a mental block i think. Just the thought of 28mins seems a long time. I listen to music whilst i run. Will still continue as i have come this far.

My guess would be that you are running too fast. The trick is to find your *sustainable pace* ie. the pace that enables you to cover the distance. Slow down a bit and see how you go.

Ok, so you have learned an important lesson- so much of running is psychological. You need faith in the programme and yourself. Loads of people on here have shown that this works- and it will for you too. I started listening to audio books from about week 8, and that works for me. Since then I have mixed it up by putting together a favourite inspirational playlist, downloading radio 4 comedy, listening to podcasts or running without earphones and concentrating on the natural environment- Whatever it takes to keep you going and to take your mind off what you are actually doing!

Try counting down instead of up if you can, that way when you get tired you can see there are only x minutes left instead of that really big 28 minute number lol.

Try and organise your playlist so that the most inspirational, catchy, energetic numbers come on around the time you get tired.

You did 25 minutes already in week 7, thus is just 3 minutes more...one more song. Slow down and breathe...we're all running with you.
