I’m only on week 4 and never ran in my life so I’m still very much a beginner. I am generally trying to be fitter and stronger so am doing some strength training and also spinning and Pilates. This makes me sound fairly fit and active but trust me I’m not. In general my week looks like this:
Mon: Pilates and spinning
Tues: Rest day
Wed: C25K (on treadmill), stretches, arms weights (we’re talking 2-3kg dumbbells here)
Thurs: Rest
Fri: C25K (treadmill), stretches, leg weights (again fairly light)
Sat: Rest
Sun: C25K (treadmill), stretches, arm weights
And repeat.
I don’t always get this all fitted in due to family and work commitments so sometimes there’s 2 rest days and therefore I don’t always complete a “week” of C25K in a week. It can generally run into a week and a half/2 weeks.
My body is aching most days (generally doms soreness, and tightness in the legs, and arthritic lower back pains). I’m wondering am I doing too much, or does this all sound ok?
