Hi, could do with advise on type of running shoe, live in the country, so off road and a bit of rough terrain? Thanks Fit Unicorn

Running shoes which may be the right ones for me might not be right for you. If you can go to a experienced running shop and tell them what your looking for . Good luck 😊

My BF recommended ASICS for me. They are super light and comfy! Love them

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5... and includes a link to a post about shoes.

As Buddy34 says advice from others, in respect of specific shoes, is pretty meaningless as they are not you and do not have your running style. The recommended way forward is to have a gait analysis done at a specialist running shop.

Enjoy your journey.

Depends on your running style. Obviously trail shoes would make sense. They’ll have wider cleats and soles suitable for slippy/rough terrain. But not much cushioning and support. So if you are heel-heavy or a bit heavy-footed then maybe road shoes will suit you better. Get professional advice.
