I don’t have any tips for the pulled muscle, but it is worth noting that when we’ve completed c25k we’ve run a little over 8 hours. Which is fantastic but also not so much. We need to remember we’re novice runners for quite a few months (around 6?) and until we have many miles under our belts we are still very prone to injury. Running slowly is a great way to build strength and stamina, so if speed is important to you, it will come, so when you’re leg is better, do more training at a slow speed to build up the muscle for the pace you’re after. And I highly recommend the Japanese slow jogging technique to ease you back into running when you’re ready. I run this way all the time because I love it and it’s designed to avoid injury.

It’s more than just slow, the landing and short stride are a key part to the technique. Here’s to a speedy recovery!
