I just wanted to post in the hope that this encourages anyone else who might be struggling for one reason or another.

I was on week 7 of c25k and really enjoying it, then my daughter became really unwell and was in hospital for 2 weeks. I didn’t run at all, and didn’t pick it up when she came home because we had so much on/ so many appointments etc.

I kept planning to restart week 7, knowing that I had signed up for a 5k race in Bedford, but it just didn’t happen. All last week i planned to do at least one run, but even that was not possible. The night before the race I felt like I had an exam the next day that I hadn’t revised for and nearly pulled out. My friend persuaded me to give it a go, even if I walked it.

I was surprised at how much fitness I still had, I ran the whole thing, and although my time wasn’t spectacular (42.26), I did it 😆

So I would say, just give it a go, it’s surprising how much you can do even when you haven’t run for a few weeks (6 in my case).

You’re all amazing for even starting, keep at it, after w1r2 I told myself I wasn’t a runner and would never be able to do it! If I can do it, you definitely can!
