So the second of 2 parkruns since re-graduating C25K. (I'd done one 2 years ago and promptly put my back out - aaaugh!) Then I re-started C25K again this year, grossly overweight. Have lost just under 3 stone since March. My times not as good as last time, so still have the PB from that first parkrun to crack!
Lesson learnt this week, I think is to start nearer the back with the slower runners. I went off and naturally you tend to go at the same pace at the start with the people around you, and I noticed from my watch that it was faster than my normal pace, which meant I couldn't sustain it, and had to walk on a few occasions. Two of the walks are forced as there is a bottleneck by the Abingdon lock - whereas last week I didn't get bottlenecked there, presumably because I was nearer the back. Last week I kept running all the way, at a slower pace.
However, looks like I shaved about 30 seconds off last week's time, so that's an improvement.
Photo of the naughty bun I had after the run!
