Couch to 5k app - Where do I see the distance I’ve run?

I don’t seem to be able to locate how far I’ve run on each run. Seems that without this piece of informtion I can’t actively know if I’m running 5k by the end.

The C25K app is not a gps app. Your phone may well have a built in app to monitor location (Samsung has SHealth and iPhone has its own built in app) but you would need to "start" these when you start the c25k app. Alternatively you can use any one of the free apps like Strava or map my run etc.

The important thing in the short term is the time. The programme is really designed to get you running for 30 mins straight, distance is actually unimportant.

Ahhh, ok thanks

I’m trying to get to specifically to 5k for a charity event so this app looks like it isn’t the one for me.

Thanks for the reply.

Please don't discount it. The programme will get you to 30 mins running in the safest possible way. Whether or not you can reach 5k in 30 mins depends more on your baseline fitness and aptitude. Simply start a gps recording app after your warm up walk and then you'll have your distance.

When is your event?

Like the others have said, that’s not how C25K works. That said? Following it will get you to run for half an hour without stopping and once you can do that then 5k is definitely doable. I ran my first 5k before I’d finished the course, by planning to run 2 lots of 20 minutes separated by a brief walk. I think I’d got to about week 7? But having got that far, I had the confidence to go ahead, and I didn’t need all the second 20 minutes to get to the finish 👍

Download Strava it will tell you distance and a few other things. It runs along side c25k with no problems 😊

Welcome to the forum.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5....

C25K is a training plan designed to safely build the condition of your body to the point that you can run continuously for thirty minutes, while keeping injury risk minimal. if you are new to running then it is the perfect plan for you. It is not however a tracking app, although there are dozens of those that will work alongside the C25K app, if you need to know your distance.

Enjoy your journey.

Don’t worry about distance... or the related pace. This is about getting to 30 minutes and becoming a fitter, healthier and happier runner. 5k is 5k if you end up running it in 15 minutes or 50... it’s the time in cardio exercise that changes your life. You can work on pace when this plan is done.
