I’m on C25K week 7 after a false start back in April. Knee pain stopped me then so I modified my running and slowed RIGHT down, which helped lots. Now I’m running 25mins I’ve developed groin ache on my right side that’s bad enough to make going up steps difficult for 24h+ afterwards. I don’t want to stop the programme again or be too hard on my body so what could I do? Thank you everyone!

Are you warming up really well...? Have you upped your rest day exercise a tad too..?
With the longer runs you need to keep the rest of your body in tune with the new running legs... Take a peek at the sister forum, Strength and Flex maybe...loads of ideas there...
There can be many causes of groin pain including insufficient warm up and not stretching afterwards..

Post run stretching link is in the FAQ post
It could be your hip adductors, the bit at the top of the inner thigh. There are exercises you can do to help condition these parts but it could as also be a sign that your over-striding, taking too big a step each time and putting extra pressure on them.
Make sure your foot is coming down directly under you, not in front, if you do a lot of downhill you can easily have this problem. The good news is that with stretching and care it will go, I had a couple of weeks of it myself but exercises and better form fixed it 👍🏻
