Hello all!

Tomorrow is Week 7, Run 3 for me and although the 25 minutes are a bit of a struggle, my recovery time is so much quicker and I’m actually enjoying myself when I give myself the time 3 times a week to do something that I’m strangely falling in love with! I’m going to my first parkrun next week.

I’ve signed up to a 5k race in October in London and this morning, I signed up to the vitality 10k which happens in May 2020. I think I have enough time to graduate, consolidate and run the 5k, the. Make the transition to 10k by next year.

Has anybody got any advice?

Thank you :)

Great decisions! Events give us a goal to train to. You’ll be ready for both for sure... there’s plenty of time to be 10k ready by May... you may even be training beyond 10k by then which is no bad thing to say the least.

My advice is your plan is very good, graduate, consolidation, 5k event... and then I’d recommend ju-ju-‘s magic plan over on the bridge to 10k forum as it has been tried and tested by many c25kers and starts to introduce varied runs, which some of the apps don’t.

Happy running.
