Got to keep going

This morning I set out on a planned run, just early enough to fit it in before my family taxi duties and just late enough to allow me some welcome recovery sleep after a tough week working away from home.

Finding the time for running can be a struggle sometimes but so worth it. The joy that comes with not only the run but the knowing that you beat the odds stacked against you to fit in some me time is great.

This week, however, saw two not so great runs. 1 was in a hotel on a treadmill. After a demoralising run I finished and went back to my hotel room to shower ... not feeling the fun of that run at all. My 2nd was a bit better, stuck for time I kept it close to the hotel ending up running around a car park! But - I did it - beat the odds and got my me time!!

But I have to confess it was a joy to be back on home turf this weekend running along my canal side route enjoying a long welcome run. Hello'ing to the passing runners, cyclists and dog walkers as I did my there and back Hobbit run.

So I wish you all a happy run time - stick to your running and have fun doing so.
