I am pleased to report that W5R3 has just been completed. Thank you to everyone who has counselled in their comments to other runners in regard to the duration of the run, “don’t look ahead!”

It was a surprise.

It was my first run in my new shoes and also my first run outside and not on a treadmill.

It may not have been the most elegant, athletic, fluid or graceful BUT it still counts! 😁

I’m not gonna, lie, Buddy34, I was a tad apprehensive about running outdoors for the first time. The treadmill is such a controlled environment but my goal is to run regularly outside anywhere the mood takes me so I had to start somewhere. I enjoyed it. 😀

Thanks, Jazzyrunner. I figured that at some point I’d like to graduate with a Park Run so I need to get outside sooner or later. I’m prepared to take a couple of steps back if necessary - revisit some of the runs to find my ‘happy place’ if outdoor running differs wildly from the treadmill. I’m grateful for the day off today. 😊
