So pleased I have actually started and got through the first run. I am slow but really surprised how far from home I got in the time. Wearing a hat helped me feel less self conscious in the hope no one would recognise me. Great to read about everyone's progress which is encouraging and will help me keep going. I am determined to get fitter in my year of being 60

Well done on starting the programme! 🎉🎉🎉 I, too, have Hashimoto’s, along with a variety of other things. Do take a look at the video on Japanese slow jogging on YouTube. It will help you tremendously. I am also very slow, but this video was a lifesaver for me. Despite having a spine mangled by arthritis, I graduated just over a month ago, and have just done my second Parkrun. If you take it slow and steady, you’ll be fine. Good luck! 😀
