Ouch! Sudden calf muscle pain.

Hello, this is the first time I have posted.

Today was Week 4 Run 1. Did my usual stretches and the five min walk. During the first run (3 mins) felt sudden but not too bad pain in calf muscle but pushed on through. Did the next walk and half of the five min run, but calf muscle increasingly painful. Had to stop and limp home. Now it’s very painful when I walk and I can’t stretch it. Just when I was doing so well!

Any ideas what I should do and when can I resume training? I’m worrying about losing momentum. It’s taken me years to make myself do this and I’ve been so pleased to feel myself making progress.

If I were you (and I just checked, I'm not :D) I would get to your GP just to make sure nothing is torn etc. Once fully healed get back out there but you have to look after your body the app will be waiting with open arms when you're ready!
