I’m going on holiday next week for 2 weeks and have been trying to get some good 30 minute consolidation runs in but I’m getting so hot that I again only managed 20 minute run today. A bit disappointed as I thought that the runs would be getting easier not harder by now.

Another poor run.
Try not to feel too disappointed. A few short weeks ago, a twenty minute run felt like conquering the world! You did a shorter run than planned, probably the heat didn't help. Take a day or two to rest and recharge your battery. I had a few meh runs after graduation and felt a bit panicky but then for no particular reason really enjoyed the next one and so it goes. The not so good ones are all still doing us far more good than not bothering to get out and have a go. ☺
Remember when 20 minutes was impossible? Now look at you today... it was too hot and you still did that once impossible run. There’s no bad/poor runs, they all add to your strength and fitness for the next one. This heat won’t be around forever, and some people pay a fortune for warm weather training... we are getting it for free!
Slow down just a shade and it’s a little more comfortable. Happy running... have a great holiday too.
