Starting Again

After four weeks of bronchitis and seven weeks off running completely I struggled to get anywhere near the level that I was at after I graduated in March

Especially frustrating as I had just beaten 30 minutes for 5K a week before the illness (28:51)

So - decided that I need the discipline of the plan to bring me back steadily and in a controlled fashion - so Week 1 completed this morning. Felt strange doing just one minute runs as I was barely getting into my stride, but, I will stick to the plan that works rather than lumbering off into the distance LOL

Welcome back... that’s a great time you set, congratulations on that. You should have a lot of your running fitness still, but going through the plan again is a good idea I think. You know you can do it, relax and enjoy getting back to 30 minutes... which should put you into those nice autumn days and cooler weather to go for that PB! Happy running
