I am really sorry, but I am not a newbie runner. I started running back in 2013 and up to the start of May I was running marathons previous to having a health scare and finding out I had Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy.
But this condition leads to breathlessness even during walking. I know I may never be able to run marathons again, but I thought the C25K would be a good form of rehabilitation to help me get back to some kind of normality.
I still think that exercise is still a prevention rather than a cause of my latest health issues and hope everyone doing the C25K on here doesn't get put off by this post.
Thanks for listening.

Hi gaztops, this is a wonderfully supportive forum, no need to apologise for not being a newbie runner! Sorry to hear about your health scare - must have been a very tough time. What does your doctor think about you getting back into running? I think doing C25K to rebuild your fitness sounds like a great idea but I'm not a medical expert!
Hi. Sorry to hear about your health scare. As Debston says I agree I think it sounds a good plan, but no expert either. But u will find lots of support here
I think C25K can be great for people who need to 'rein back' and find enjoyment keeping active at a different level just as much as for the couch potato. You are very welcome... I'm imagining you've had a fair bit of cardiology guidance that in terms of your heart a gentle return to running is OK to try. We've had someone before with a serious cardiac issue.
