My Friday run was uneventful but also inexplicably slow. I made no less discernible effort but I was about 25/30 seconds off my best pace per km. Not a big deal really. I was expecting a dip because I’d had three consecutive runs where my pace had improved.
This afternoon I went out again expecting very little other than a good workout. Loads of people in the park so I just set off and just got on with it knowing that I’d feel fabulous once it was ‘done’.
I ignored Runkeeper in my ear hole and plodded on. Finished with a best paced run so far. I am delighted. I love the running but I cannot deny - I love the improvement in pace too. It’s nothing stunning to anyone else but to me it’s nothing short of miraculous and I guess that’s the entire point of Couch To 5K and running - its just for me. My effort ,my health, my fitness and, of course, my progress. 😊
Happy running 😉

Well done you 😁 You deserve to feel really chuffed. I know exactly what you mean about enjoying that improvement as well as the run itself. I had my fastest run today too - not expecting to sustain it just yet as I know it was too fast for good running but yes, can't deny that seeing the stats felt amazing 😁 Happy running
Thank you. I think the next step is setting some formal goals and trying to regulate the running a bit more but, if I’mtotally honest, I’m still at the stage of being just thrilled to be able to run 😉
Indeed. But it’s part of the human condition I guess so it does take a wee bit of talking to myself on occasion 😂 But, in the main, I take each run as it comes.
Well done you...sounds like a fab run. I can hear that you're just running for you...but enjoying those pb moments. I get that completely...I haven't checked my stats for few weeks...bit I KNOW my running is improving because it's just become so much more comfortable. Enjoy those "I'm doing great" moments... because that's what keeps us going. 👍👍👍😁🦌🐌🐢🏃♀️🙋
