I hear everyone saying you need proper running shoes but when I first started I just used my really old reekbok trainers that I paid £20 for because I didnt think I’d stick to it. But I’m still in them and I’m started w6 tomorrow so I’m wondering am I doing damage to my feet or is it best to get a proper pair now that I’m running more?

Perhaps you could go and get a gait analysis and buy shoes which are recommended for you after the analysis, you can go to a specialist sports shop for that, it's up to you if you want to buy the recommended shoes.

I run in reeboks and i run in karrimors and am comfortable in both but do have specialist insoles if it was me I’d go to a podiatrist and spend the money on insoles they do a gait analysis too
