Finished week 4 (repeated week 3), but my knees feel uncomfortable, slightly puffy, heavy, awkward. Have been advised by a physio that this will be because my "gluts" aren't strong yet, so the pressure is being taken on my knees. Is this common?

Having just had a gait analysis, maybe it is worth you considering this?
Yes! Very common. Remember you are putting your joints through new paces and yes if you strenghten and importantly stretch glutes (and for me, calves) things should settle. Don’t run if they are sore, and use ice if necessary. Google glutes stretches and exercises for runners, and consider some yoga for runners: I have hit out of the habit and my joints are letting me know!

Try to relax and land lightly..I call it kissing the ground with your feet!
Also, start to up the stamina and strength exercise you do on some of your rest days. That will help.
I just had one today. Got a lovely pair of trainers. But skint now lol. But the analysis was free.
