So I qualified mid June but have only managed 1 run per week since and the last two were for 20 mins only... missing the structure of C25K but also getting niggles of both Achilles and both kneecaps.... I am lucky to have access to a very well qualified lower limb physio who has assessed and give me stuff to work on and said that while the symptoms are intermittent with no swelling that I can keep running - but gently...
Feeling really frustrated but feel the fitness is still there, it’s just the joints and tendons that I’m scared of flaring up....
Weird, I didn’t have a niggle while on the programme, only now that I’m feeling problems. Anyone else had this??

Probably because you are not regularly running... Try some very gentle jogettes... try to find some flattish but less hard ground to run on..
Try a short run and then a gentle longer relaxed run.. your head is telling you one thing, so let the legs show you what they can do. Listen to your body and go with it. Warm up really well... do your exerciser and your post run stretches too.
if you get into some gentle running three times a week.. you may find things ease a tad
I think that’s probably right. On the programme there’s a structure that just made me go ‘oh it’s run day today’ whereas now I’m needing to be more disciplined....
will take your advice and go out little bit more often! Think just a bit scared, had so many problems with my knees that I used them as the reason that ‘I can’t do running’ but was ridiculously happy when they held up for the programme.
