Just done my first ‘consolidation’ run! Felt weird not having Jo in my ear but had some music on for the first time (which actually felt slightly distracting, think I’ve become used to just going a bit zoned out before!). Thought I’d see if I could do 5k, pretty chuffed but legs feel like floppy lasagna (my sons phrase for when his legs are tired) now. Breathing was good though so happy with that! Think will stick to 30 mins for now rather than worry about distance but did feel good to know it’s not too far out of reach!
Next goal is a parkrun 🏃🏼♀️💪

Hello Bluesky44, I did a first run yesterday since graduation and felt a bit strange without Sarah telling me what to do but got there in the end. Impressed to see you did 5k, well done, I am miles off that, most I have done to date is 3:8k but am happy to be able to do 30 mins at minute.😊
Thank you, and congrats on graduating too! To be honest, I’m really not bothered about pace it was all about just getting off my bum/couch and doing the 30 mins! Did feel nice to know it’s doable to prepare for a parkrun which I’m really looking forward to! I also feel I slightly cheat as have quite a nice flat route (not easy in Sheffield!), bet I couldn’t do that with hills!
