Hi everyone! So I’m new to this and only on w1 run 2 (I do go to the gym but could do with shifting abit of weight). I’m terrible at running/jogging I just always seem to struggle but am really giving this my best shot! BUT my ankles really seem to be aching, particularly over the top of my foot making it difficult to continue at times. Has anyone else experienced this? Also does this get easier 😂 Thankyou!

I did when I first started but then I changed my trainers to some that had more ankle support. Asics do some really good ones good luck

It could be your trainers that are causing the problem, are they for running? Also i wouldn't say easier is the right word it just that your body gets more used to running and it's very enjoyable good luck 😊😊

hi Roweyja03, sorry to hear about the foot pains, in the early weeks I suffered with ankle aches so bought a cheap elastic support to wear and also didnt tie my laces so tight. Theres some info on the forum about reducing impact and strengthening exercises. I think in the early days of trying the programme your body is adjusting to running and you need to build up stamina and strength before you will find it easier, just keep slow and give it time. you b fine 👍
