Did my run in reverse today and it was more challenging than I thought it would be. It ended with a 3 minute run along a steady incline which very nearly defeated me. But it didn't. My usual suspects of musical accompaniment and Jo Whiley in my ear kept me going.
Does anyone else pray for the "well done you've only got 60 seconds to go" and then when she says "dig deep maybe sprint this" you mutter quite loudly "urm no. I'll just carrying on barely lifting my feet and dragging my heels thank you very much..." But today it hit me that at the 24 minute mark next week I'll still have 4 to go. My 1 minute "well done......" will come at 27 minutes.... I think death might come at 26 minutes on the first run.... πββοΈπ€π±π€·ββοΈ

Its not so much that I watch the clock.... I have timed music. These extra 5 minutes this week slipped in ok it's just I'm pretty much on my knees by the time I've got a minute to go and I only really know it's a minute to go because jo Whiley tells me it's good to clock watch sometimes then you can beat your pace...
Youβll do it ! Whenever Sanjeev said βAre you ready ?β I always said no, but he never paid the slightest attention π
I know what you mean about running in reverse. Never realised the nearby park was on a slope till I reversed my run one day and suddenly found it was all uphill π
