Just back from my second Parkrun. It was much warmer this week, and despite some ominous black clouds it didn’t rain! I was really tired after a bad week but ended up “going for it” and managed to beat my previous time. Very satisfying.
Loads of people there and once again a brilliant sense of community.
Highlights: seeing a crow chasing a heron. Like Star Wars with birds.
Lowlights: still not a fan of running up hills.
(P.S. That thread title sounds like a football score )

Well done! I did my fourth park run this morning. Cloudy and a little bit of rain here in Brum. I still can’t believe I am actually ‘running’ 5k, at the start of the year I could barely do 50m!
I went off too quick at start lol, (6:15 mins per K). I felt as slow as normal but really struggled and whilst running put it down to a large glass of wine last night. After the run I realised it was probably a combination of things;
1) my psyche expecting the running to feel easier by now (after 12 weeks of regular 3xpw - getting faster naturally but not easier😂) and
2) I’ve been running 3x5Kpw for last 2 weeks. That’s 36-39 mins instead of 3x30 mins; probably too big an increase and hence my legs felt like lead today 😂😂😂😂
I plan to do JuJu’s distance plan and I’m going to stick to the letter of it 😳😜😃
