Just completed week 8. Run 1 was tough but the other 2 runs felt better. Excited to complete the programme next week but then need to maintain regular runs. I’ve graduated before and not kept it up so determined not to make that mistake again. Any tips from C25K graduates of how to continue to progress after graduation? Thanks for all the support on here 😊
Week 8: Just completed week 8. Run 1 was tough... - Couch to 5K
Week 8
Huge well done... and we won't let you disappear this time
My only tip is to have a goal. Something new to aim towards after finishing the c25k. I felt aimless for a while, I liked the structuredness of the c25k plan. I have decided to aim for 5k distance. Then on to 10k. Making these goals for myself has motivated me to keep going.
The recent "life after c25k" posts from graduates have been very helpful too.
My suggestion is to start looking already at what you want to do after so that w9r3 doesn't only feel like you've finished something but that you've started something else.
That’s great advice, thank you backintime. Like you, I have enjoyed the structure of C25k and it makes complete sense to start looking for a new goal. Completing a Park run is on my list and I will check out the life after C25k posts.
I haven’t graduated yet but I plan to move to the couch to 10K programme (if you've don’t the couch to 5k you can pick up half way through)
