5k walking at home

I had no idea what this was when it was mentioned at my weight loss class a few weeks ago. With my knee feeling a bit better, I decided to have a look at what it was because lack of exercise is driving me nuts, literally. Stress & anxiety levels all up and I'd had enough so today I had a quick gander at Youtube and found a fabulous "5k walk at home" video. It was easy to do and instructor gives mile completion alerts so it's possible to end the session at 1 or 2 miles or complete the 3 miles & there is the choice to follow what the instructor does or do a low impact exercise (She starts off with low impact & racks it up). I did manage to complete it all with just a bit of a knee twinge at 4km so I took it back down to low impact. Feeling fabulous now, didn't have to brave the rain though I did get a sweat on and I'm now ready to face the rest of the day.

Happy running / exercising / walking or other activity you are up to today. xx

Is it the Leslie Sansome ones? I used her YouTube videos a couple of years ago to try and help my knee and leg after an injury. Worked wonders and in bad weather if I can't get out for a run I still put her 3 mile one on or the 1mile happy walk if I've not got enough time for 3 miles.

Yes it was that one - I looked at a few but hers seemed the best. I love how she talks to you as if she is actually in the room with you.

This looks great for non- running days. I started over with the plan after starting to feel running was becoming a drag. About to start week 8 but good to have an 'at home' option too. Thanks for sharing. x

I wanted something to keep me moving but which, if I did have to stop, I wasn’t miles away from home.
