Just finished my seventh 30-minute run and I’m still not quite sure what happened...
I was really tired, after hardly any sleep, and I was fearing the worst. But somehow I actually enjoyed it. In fact, I felt great.
Maybe it was the birds (I saw a big white egret flying over), or maybe it was the blue sky and fresh air, but I really did feel different.
It ended up being both my fastest 30 minutes and the longest distance covered in that time, so it has made me feel a lot better about the Parkrun coming up this weekend.
It just shows that running does get easier over the weeks. Never give up!

It’s really weird. These great runs seem to come out of thin air and for no rhyme or reason. Similarly the bad runs do that too. Well done on the run and good luck for the Parkrun. And absolutely never give up. It’s a fabulous journey.
I Often find good runs follow bad days. Funny how it works out that way. 4.62 is a great foundation for a parkrun. If your local one is anything like mine, you'll be fine and the fact you're running with others will pull you along (just don't let it fool you into starting too fast, just settle into your regular pace and it'll be fine).
