I am due to do consolidation run 3 tomorrow but am rather torn.
I read a link today , sorry I can’t remember who posted it, but it was about taking time after warm up to do a series of exercises to build running strength including side skips, grapevine, A skip, etc a total of 8 exercises.
Question really is do I do this at This stage or should I carry on doing my 30 min runs etc?
Given the weather I feel I should do one thing or another or a variation. What do you lovely people think?

The five minute warm up is really to get your heart rate up. I haven't read the post you're referring to, but I do some dynamic stretches as well (not static stretches) just to put my joints through a whole range of movement. The ones I use are from runnersworld.
I think you will get as many opinions as people you ask. Just be sensible about it and you won't go far wrong.
Sound advice! The post suggested doing the exercises on softer surface ie not tarred paths so in this weather it may be very slippy or squelchy. ( I normally run on pavements or tarred paths).
You know I think that’s what I feel like doing. I just need to find a suitable place on the level to do the exercises. There is a flat bit of park near me so....😉
They look great. They're really dynamic stretches, I might give them a try.
Don't be too strict about 30 minute runs, it's up to you what you want to do as long as you don't suddenly increase your running by more than 10% at a time. Sometimes I do short interval runs. They help with strength and stamina. Do what you feel comfortable with - no pressure!
You are right! Up to graduation I did as I was told by Michael and its nice to be reassured that mixing it up is not a cop out but strength and stamina exercises are important to keep up with injury free running. Yaaay 👍
Have you tried the Nike running app? It's being told what to do again, but you don't need to use it every run. There are loads of different types of runs on it and some great advice.
Yeah, trying to do two things at once probably isn't a good idea. I'm not following the plan the app set up for me. I've just dipped into a few of the runs.
