W3R2 Done

I nearly forgot how much I liked the progression in C25K, 90 seconds to 180 seconds is a good step up and a good indicator on how I'll manage the coming up runs Keep in mind, yes I graduated C25K previously but haven't run in about 2 years so I'm as much a beginner as anyone else, I have the slight advantage of knowing the runs from doing them and the pitfalls I have last time.

W3R2 was a good one, sorted out my Garmin issues so my HR strap works properly now and I'm not relying on the wrist HRM which is no good really for running.

I started adding in body weight exercises this week, aching shoulders and arms today, core tomorrow and legs Saturday with W3R3 on Friday, this will give my legs a day in between to rest/recover.

To the people graduating, well done it's a great feeling.

To the people working their way there or just starting, slow and steady and ENJOY it, smile on your runs, it makes them easier.

To all, happy running.

Well done, LeeU! You've done this before so you KNOW you'll be able to do it again. Most of my battles with C25K were mental ones, especially in the early weeks when I just didn't believe I could do each run - until I did! So, you have a great advantage in knowing that you can trust the programme. How come you have had a couple of years off? Did you have an injury or just went off it?

I wish I had just gone off it, I started with a cold, which turned into a chest infection that I couldn't get rid of, loads of other complications, etc.

I missed running so much, I tried to get back into it last year but then had a skin cancer scare and my wife ended up needing surgery on the cartilage in her knee.

Overall, a horrible couple of years and a dark place.

Not what you're looking for?
