Absolutely nailed this run today, found energy out of nowhere at the end and did a sprint! Bring on W9... I AM READY!!!
I was really emotional today when the run finished, this has been an incredible journey, it’s been long, lots of learning along the way, the support... The finish line seems so close and I don’t want it to end.
It’s all about the journey isn’t it 😢

Well done on completing week 8 and welcome to week 9.
I’ve only my graduation run to go and I too have found the last few runs emotional and a part of me is sad to see the program end but Just think of what’s to come!
The C25K emotional journey is as powerful as the physical one isn’t it? Maybe you’ll stay in the forum to cheer others along? .... plus all your virtual running buddies would miss you! Or maybe you’ll head over to 10k app? Whatever you do.....let us know how W9 goes. Rooting for you 👏
You go girl JaoJao you’re smashing it and having more in the tank you know it’s worth all the hard work you have put in and yes the finish line is near but it doesn’t end there you could do a Parkrun then train for a 10k which I’m going to do and after that there are more things to do. And you should be proud of yourself it’s a hard thing to do well done 😉 and this is your journey you’re meant to do it just like am you take your rest day you have done great 😉🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♂️
They are better, but I still have issues towards the end, but I am working on getting the legs better. In today's run the euphoria swept over any pain I had, and where the hell did I find that final sprint when my legs were in a state! Magical moments!
It's OK Katie. For low blood sugar take some sugary treats with you if you are feeling unwell. Remember to take it as slow as you like whilst brisk walking and then running, its not a race, this is your pace x
Thanks! I did actually try jelly babies when I did the Royal Parks HM in 2017. They did give me energy but boy did they taste awful! Is it just me or have they changed since the 1970s?
Probably changed honey! I find nothing these days taste like it did in the 70s/80s/90s. The other day I had Sugar Puffs! Nothing like sugar puffs when I was a kid!
It is quite emotional (and a bit of an emotional mix too) but it's just the start of the longer journey, and now it's our turn to add our voices of encouragement to those coming after us, just as those went before us did for us.
Good luck in your last few runs of this section, and all the further (and farther) ones to come.
Good work, I’m at a similar place to you. I really feel the end is in sight now, it is a struggle to be patient and take the time to complete the runs in line with the schedule rather than just rushing through them.
I am determined to enjoy these last few runs, and relish the time. I hope you get the most out of your final runs, good luck 🙂.
