W8R2 ✅ Oh so emotional now...

Absolutely nailed this run today, found energy out of nowhere at the end and did a sprint! Bring on W9... I AM READY!!!

I was really emotional today when the run finished, this has been an incredible journey, it’s been long, lots of learning along the way, the support... The finish line seems so close and I don’t want it to end.

It’s all about the journey isn’t it 😢

Well done on completing week 8 and welcome to week 9.

I’ve only my graduation run to go and I too have found the last few runs emotional and a part of me is sad to see the program end but Just think of what’s to come!

Yes, consolidation!

When are you graduating? Have you planned anything around it? X

The C25K emotional journey is as powerful as the physical one isn’t it? Maybe you’ll stay in the forum to cheer others along? .... plus all your virtual running buddies would miss you! Or maybe you’ll head over to 10k app? Whatever you do.....let us know how W9 goes. Rooting for you 👏

Thank you Jerichomile, you are so right. This challenge has gripped my mind, body and soul ❤️

Of course I will cheer others on! I’m not likely to move to 10k I know that, I am happy with 5K for now. I will keep you all posted.

You go girl JaoJao you’re smashing it and having more in the tank you know it’s worth all the hard work you have put in and yes the finish line is near but it doesn’t end there you could do a Parkrun then train for a 10k which I’m going to do and after that there are more things to do. And you should be proud of yourself it’s a hard thing to do well done 😉 and this is your journey you’re meant to do it just like am you take your rest day you have done great 😉🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️

Yay well done!! Your legs are feeling better then 😄

They are better, but I still have issues towards the end, but I am working on getting the legs better. In today's run the euphoria swept over any pain I had, and where the hell did I find that final sprint when my legs were in a state! Magical moments!

That sounds like a fantastic run! Love that feeling! I’m hoping the leg aches will ease abit further if I manage to get abit of weight off 🤞🏻

Does anyone else get low blood sugar that interferes with their running? If so, what do you do to help relieve it?

suebuzz profile image
suebuzzGraduate in reply toKatie204

You could take some sweets with you.

Thanks! (Sorry - just realised I crashed this thread with my query. I should have created a separate thread.)

JaoJao in reply toKatie204

It's OK Katie. For low blood sugar take some sugary treats with you if you are feeling unwell. Remember to take it as slow as you like whilst brisk walking and then running, its not a race, this is your pace x

i saw jelly babies mentioned somewhere for a sugar boost

Katie204 profile image
Katie204Graduate in reply tobackintime

Thanks! I did actually try jelly babies when I did the Royal Parks HM in 2017. They did give me energy but boy did they taste awful! Is it just me or have they changed since the 1970s?

JaoJao profile image
JaoJao in reply toKatie204

Probably changed honey! I find nothing these days taste like it did in the 70s/80s/90s. The other day I had Sugar Puffs! Nothing like sugar puffs when I was a kid!

It is quite emotional (and a bit of an emotional mix too) but it's just the start of the longer journey, and now it's our turn to add our voices of encouragement to those coming after us, just as those went before us did for us.

Good luck in your last few runs of this section, and all the further (and farther) ones to come.

It's an amazing journey of so many discoveries... and I can assure you it doesn't really end at w9r3 👍😉

JaoJao in reply toGoGo_JoJo

I bet it doesn’t and I’m feeling tears reading Your message. Running has become magical, in so many ways I never ever imagined.

I am thinking that if I can finish this challenge, there is nothing in life I cannot do. That’s monumental

It's a weird and wonderful addiction! It will literally take you far, if you let it! 😁🤘

Good work, I’m at a similar place to you. I really feel the end is in sight now, it is a struggle to be patient and take the time to complete the runs in line with the schedule rather than just rushing through them.

I am determined to enjoy these last few runs, and relish the time. I hope you get the most out of your final runs, good luck 🙂.
