So my friend and I joined the local running club 4 weeks ago and are following a c25k type programme they do. We then use this alongside.
I followed this programme already on a treadmill. Outside is so much nicer. Wow! and people actually say encouraging things and "hello!" when you jog passed. I almost cried. I thought they'd laugh. Put my faith back in humanity. I love the running community so far. Thank you to all those on here and out there who encourage and inspire.
Park run time was 41 minutes. So aiming for sub 40 next time.
Thanks all. ππ

Arenβt the running community great, when I first started (Iβm now in week 9) I would run after dark to avoid being seen but now I have embraced the daylight Iβm so surprise by the response I get. Others runners say hi, morning, some give me an encouraging thumbs up and Iβve even had a wink. The people I pass are so supportive as itβs clear I am a newbie!
Isnβt it nice how encouraging people are?! I got caught up in a running group while out on my own. Admittedly it stressed me out a bit and made me go much faster than I should have! But the faster group passed me they said well done and thanks and then I passed the slower group coming the other way and they said well done too!
