Week 8 done! What doesn’t kill you...

...makes you stronger!

I’m not quiet sure how this has happened (I think it’s witchcraft) but I’ve just finished week 8.

Tonight’s run was painful and I wanted to stop so many times but I made it.

Could it be that running a little faster might be less painful? As it’s not possible to run any slower!

One plus, it was another beautiful evening on the canal.

I know I need to drink more but I’m starting to feel like a sprinkler, I need the loo so much.

Happy running everyone. Week 9, I’m coming to get you!

Well done Emlist. You've finished W8! I'm a Cheshire Girl, doing her running Down South! Looks lovely along the canal, reminds me of home.

As for the sprinkler problem - it could be a result of running alongside water....... Just a thought 😉!

Good luck with W9. I shall be watching for you posting your graduation run!

Great job. Faster certainly hurts more... slower is almost always possible, I’d put good money on being able to stay behind you and still running! So long as it’s not sharp/sudden/stabbing pain you’re good... I’ve been able to predict where in the run my legs may complain recently, and a small change in my stride length helps quite a bit.

Hydration is a funny thing... we are told the kidneys need 2 litres a day, yet when we first give that to them they just get rid of it real quick.. I don’t understand the biology behind it, but it does get better! Sip the water though, downing a glass pretty much always means it’s coming back out again very soon!

Here you are... 28 minutes done for a week... and those 30s that you came to do await. If they could, they’d run away... who likes getting their butt kicked? 🤣. Week 9 is your victory lap... get settled into this runs and just imagine all of us here (we are a large stadium’s worth of people) cheering you on and over that line. Have a great week and we shall see you on that podium.

Just had a look... almost 80,000 of us now, we may need a bigger stadium!

I must say this weathers is making everywhere look stunning.

It’s just in my legs. It has been a busy day and I think they where tired. They just felt a little heavy with a dull ache.

Maybe take a couple of days to rest your legs and give them a chance to recover before your next run.

That's a stunning photo! So close now! Exciting!
