So! After nearly 9 months after completing C25K, I have started running again! Had various health problems and life events that have kept me from running (with a good dose of CBA too, ashamed to say).
Been meaning to get back to it and this morning I started off at week 4. The second 5 mins was hard but I was pleasantly surprised - I thought I was going to be way back to the beginning.
Onwards. It’s nice to be back.

Good for you ! It must be hard on one hand to feel you have all the hard work ahead of you BUT you’ve done it before, so you know you can. Take it easy and enjoy.
Thank you! Yes it feels a little daunting, especially as I remember loving the early stages but, as the runs got longer, having a real mental, physical battle to get through them. I wonder, now that I know I HAVE got through them once, whether that will make any difference 2nd time around?
I shall keep you all updated 😀
Well done for getting back on the running horse, so to speak. I’ve been on and off up and down. Injury etc. But it’s like a magnetic force that keeps drawing me back. Must be the spandex 😂.
In all honesty it’s great to get back into it. Even it is a struggle (personal experience)
I’m implementing a little cycling too to help build leg muscles.
Yeah absolutely. But don’t over do it. I did my knee in and was told to maybe try squats? Deadlifts are good for all round too. Not done them in a few years mind. 😊
I have dodgy knees anyway so have to be careful. A physio recently described them as creaky. I’m not old enough for them to be creaky 😆😆 I am definitely going easy 😎
