W8 r2; struggled to find the motivation to do this one, but had a word with myself about and got out there.

Don’t know if it’s the heat but finding it harder doing the longer runs, especially as I run on my own. Might need to look for a club or something lol. But so pleased I did it and haven’t broken my chain of un-missed sessions and the finishing line is in sight. 4 more runs to graduate wow 😮.

Hey Dottie,

Well done on fighting though the doubts and completing it! I run on my own too and I'm sad to say, I always run the same route... I don't look forward to runs, but once I'm out running, I do start to feel good.

I've been running early morning or late evening to stay out of the heat.

Also, definitely look into local running clubs. I've joined one. I don't do much with them yet, but they have an easy pace Wed evening run which I usually attend. Running with others makes it so much easier.

Thanks, I was out at 7:15am but now realise that’s not early enough on a hot day lol 😂

Well done, Week 8 felt like my favourite one but the temperatures were way cooler and now I'm in Week 9, it's definitely feeling hotter and harder. Obvious things like running early or in the evening, finding a shady woodland trail to run on, plenty of water, etc, can all help. I'm praying we don't have another heatwave this summer!

Thanks Debston, I’m also hoping it’s not a hot summer or I’ll be having to get up at dawn lol 😂

That's what I'm worried about, I am rubbish at getting up early! But I might have to!

Oh wow! Honestly 4 more runs to graduation is a huge achievement. Well done. Hope you’re enjoying every minute of your running.
