Gosh that was hard work. It must be the day for hard runs, a few fellow runners have posted similar posts today. I really don't know why.....Heavy, heavy legs. Felt tired. Definitely experienced the 'Toxic 10'. I kept the pace slow but was willing Sarah to say I'd reached my 20 minutes and I really pushed hard in the final 5 minutes of the run to get to the walk. My calves felt solid but improved as I walked to the end and Sarah finally called time's up. It was bliss to stretch after.
I'm not looking forward to W7R2 when I have to go through that again. I feel down about the run, but proud with myself for having the strength to keep going. In the end, I guess that being able to keep going does show how much I have progressed, so I must remember that....π. A bit of a come-down after enjoying the same run so much on W6R3 βΉοΈ.
Be pleased you ran a full 25 minutes I know it was hard maybe just one of those runs maybe not enough water or something else . When you look back at your posts at wk1 and 2 look how far you've come well done ππ
Thank you Buddy. I have just reread my w1 and 2 posts and it has given me a boost π. It feels such a long time ago and I had forgotten, so it was good to read back and see what a difference a few weeks makes. Thank you βΊοΈ
Strange...Looks like we've had the exact same experience todayπ€ Your W6/R3 was the same run and it was a good run. I think we both had a 'bad run'. Today you had to dig deep and you did itπͺ. I'm sure the next run will be easier. Well done Delly!

Thank you. Well done you too! Just an off-day hopefully....
Well done on managing to get to the end without stopping, you have done fantastic and should be very proud on ur self, can u think of anything that is different from when u did the same run on wk 6, maybe u drank more water the last time? X
Thank you. The only thing that was really different was that I ran just before lunch and it had been a good while since breakfast, so maybe not enough food-fuel in my tank? I'm usually good at drinking water. I was quite warm too - had to peel off a layer, so maybe that? I don't know - probably my age!!π€ͺ
Haha I find myself blaming my age for everything these days lol x
Don't worry Delly-dot. That was my hardest run by far. I think it's just the body getting used to the "no walking" the good folks on here reassured me that everyone has tough runs when your least expecting it. Your next run will be fine. Keep it slow and steady and you'll smash it. The finishing line is in sight!!
Thank you for your kind words and reassurance. Today's run caught me out mainly because I didn't leave the house feeling any different to normal and then wham, things were not going to plan...
I shall learn from it and I will just slow the pace right down for the next run. I'm proud of getting to this point and I'm in this to reach W9R3 and see that lovely 'graduate' badge next to my name!! π
When you start out a tough outing can feel like a catastrophe. As you get more experience you will know that everyone has bad runs sometimes; doesn't mean the next one will also be bad. So chin up, on to w7r2!

Thank you. Chin is back up and I'm feeling more positive - I will put it down to experience. Upwards and onwards to w7r2!
Donβt be disheartened ! I still have bad runs which is due to age, hydration, food intake, heavy legs, tiredness, hormones, too much cake (I wonβt go on) π but remember the good runs and say goodbye to the bad ones.
You have just run for 25 minutes !!! So fab !!!
Be proud and positive for your next run will be better ! πββοΈ
