Completed this run tonight, but it was bit of a funny one, I actually found it more difficult than the big one - w5r3. And really youd think it would be easier as it goes back to run / walk. I dont know whether it was because it was different time of day and running after work? Strange, but another run done πŸ‘πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜

Wk6r1 is the run everyone comments on after running 20 minutes wk5r3. Just part of the plan don't worry 😊😊

I think the reason why people find run 1 of week 6 hard is after the expectations of the previous week, especially run 3 of week 5 being a continuous 20-minute run, your legs have got used to the 20-minute run and going back to interval walks and runs seems to have affected their rhythm, one of the administrators will have a more scientific explanation regarding run 1 of week 6 no doubt in due course.

I felt exactly the same. I thought it was be fairly straightforward as I could run for 20 mins. Really struggled with it though. You're not alone!

I was the same. Someone on here explained it really well recently... That it feels like it *should* be easier than running 20 mins straight because you have a walk in the middle BUT you need to include the walk (3 minutes?) as part of the overall workout. So you are actually going for longer overall than Week 5 Run 3's continuous 20 minutes run. It makes sense when you stop seeing the walks as a break!
