It’s now coming up to a year since I started Couch to 5k, finishing it last August. Being 58 at the time, weighing nearly 16 stones and not having run for over thirty years I couldn’t even run for a bus. Yesterday, I ran a 10k North Face Endurance Challenge in Washington DC finishing 181 out of 369, 4th in my age group. Started the race in the last of five waves- passed dozens of youngsters less than half my age. I’m not bragging, I want to give all of you that are just starting the program or struggling some encouragement- you CAN do it and you WILL feel great when you get to the end of the journey. I’m still elated after it -all and just registered for a 12 miler in September and aiming for a half marathon in March. Don’t give up!

Well done and thank you for sharing! I'm just sat here debating whether to register for my first 10k and I think this just tipped me over into pressing the button! Thank you.
I have Galvanize by the Chemical Brothers in my head now... did you push the button?
Yup! All paid up... Alderley Edge, Southport and Wilmslow. I'll have to keep running now!
