Thought I would try out these new fangled toe sock thingys. Well what a revelation! I fully expected them to feel uncomfortable, they felt a bit weird to start but very soon forgot about them. So if you suffer from toe rub may be worth a look x
I did the same route as Wednesday. It was no easier today. I don't think I'm a middle of the day runner, but I'm child sitting this pm and ponio riding this morning it was the only window. Taking lessons from my last run I left the jacket at home. Though a little chilly to start with I soon reached temperature π
It was tough going today. Maybe Sundays run I'll start by going down hill I felt achy in my quads before I even started which I put down to the goddess pose from yesterday π§ββοΈ (will think twice before doing that one again)
Right off to collect child from a nerf gun party. I'm guessing this means child will be over excited and full of junk food. Lucky me π ββοΈ Normally my friends child is delightful but i have a feeling they go feral real quick π¬
Happy running folks xxx

Iβm just a neck ahead of you, JU. Finished W7R3 just now, and that was tougher then W2π₯΄. Calves ached for more than half the run. Reminder to self: more stretching and strengthening exercises required. But it is fun all the same, isnβt it? And a great sense of achievement. Good luck with the child minding- bet you just want to put your pink feet up now for a bit. Enjoy your weekend.
Looks like you've got a bunion that's moving your toes over a bit! Worth getting treated as you can end up with very deformed feet as.munmother in-law knows only too well!
Saw the Dr a few years ago and they said they would chop bits of bone off, could potentially lose feeling in my toe and it may well grow back. As it doesn't give me any jip I passed on the op
I do get a bit of toe rub sometimes. It never becomes a problem but is a shock when you have no pain but see bloodied socks when you take your feet out of your shoes!
Thanks for the advice! I'll get some if it becomes a regular problem π΅
Our feet look pretty similar. I would think the toe socks could help with the rubbing. The next time I'm in the city and can get to a run shop, I'll be looking for a pair. In the meantime, I bought some body glide foot balm that I applied to my toes before my last long run (a HM) and had absolutely no rub spots, blisters or sore spots. I've tried to use the body glide stick in them before but the balm really helped to lubricate all parts of the toes.
