Just started cto5k. Tried it at the gym on the treadmill, but I’m gonna try outside somewhere next time. Hoping to shift some weight I’ve gained during the menopause. Never really ran much before, wish me luck.

I’ve definitely found outside to be more enjoyable, more distractions and easier to pass the time, as you’re not watching the clock constantly. Good luck!

Well done getting started,

I began my journey via the treadmill till W5, then with encouragement from other lovely runners on here I got out there and I’ve not looked back and only wish I’d done it sooner!

It’s a great feeling, go for it!

Fortune favours the bold!

Welcome. You can do this! Running will tone you up... you’ll be smaller and look stronger... weight may or may not drop early doors... some tweaks to nutrition will help and the two together are formidable.

Well done getting on that treadmill, that’s a place I still can’t run... hope you love the great outdoors! Enjoy your journey.

Thanks. I’ve never ran on a treadmill before, didn’t feel right somehow. Looking forward to the great outdoors. Thanks for your advice .

Thank you.

Running outside I find harder but it’s nicer. I’m going to gym for my runs and work outs at the moment and I think its boring running on a treadmill. It’s easy but boring. Best of luck
