I wasn’t particularly looking forward to this run, but I can’t say I ever do really. A beautiful evening but still a bit warm at 19.15 pm.
Anyway I did it and then I kept going. Think I ran for about 37mins in total. I think I was apprehensive about the final week and I wanted to prepare myself mentally. We all have our quirks and it works for me. At least I know I can do it now.
I always think of the stories I’ve read on this forum as I’m running. It really helps me push on through. Thanks everyone 😄💖

Great job. The extra running is increasing the injury risk, but I get it... and now you have nothing to prove... stick to the 30 minutes in week 9 to get that risk back down.
I occasionally looked forward to a run on the plan, but only occasionally. The relentless increases, which are necessarily of course, end for you at graduation... then you can consolidate on 30 minutes. It was at that point that I fell in love with running again... we’d flirted and had a couple of dates previously... so you could well find yourself grumpy on “rest” days soon, looking forward to that next run.
Enjoy your victory lap, or as the app insists on calling it week 9.
I really want to enjoy it and maybe you’re right, when it’s completed I can do what I want. I’ll always do it for health and fitness but I hope running starts to ‘flirt’ with me too 😄
I bet you’ll actually start to enjoy it soon. It’s very odd how it just suddenly hits you and you start to look forwards to going for a run. You even stop trying to think of excuses not to go out and get a little bit miffed if you can’t make it!! Keep going, you’ll get there soon!
