Socks for keeping feet cool?!

Hello, does anyonehave any recommendations for socks that keep feet cool while running?

I've got 3 pairs of Hilly Running Socks, 2 are cushioned and one pair is a twin skin. They're good but my feet are just getting too hot, I'm still getting blisters on the ball of my feet even when using Vaseline too. Especially when I run in hot weather or try and run a bit faster!

What I'd like to find is something that keeps my feet cooler!

In other news, today would have been W9R3 (mark 2... I've graduated before) but I had to walk this week at parkrun, it was just too hot. So I didn't run for 30 minutes (although ironically I was still 30 seconds quicker than last week!). I've been slacking off a bit from doing 3 runs per week because of the blisters and because I've finished C25K before and I know I can complete parkrun now. I actually did the Speed+ podcast too on Tuesday.

Happy Easter everyone! This weather is sublime, just a bit hot for running!

Hmmm. Well I would possibly suggest breathable socks? I wear those knee high compression socks when I run. My feet do get hot-ish. Also I guess it can depend on the trainers you wear. Mine are like that mesh fabric type? Something like that anyway. But they do let me feet breathe really well. I guess that’s not much help is it 🤷🏻‍♂️. 😂

Happy Easter to you too.

I can't help with the socks I'm afraid - I don't particularly suffer from hot feet. I have suffered from blisters though and find that the running socks I have (Decathlon's basic range) are good for preventing these (I never run in ordinary socks and if I don't wear the right socks for walking I quickly come to regret it!).

I walked a bit of parkrun too... the bit in the shade of the trees (and out of sight of RunaroundSue who was marshalling!).

:) Sneaky!

Actually I don't blame you. I probably would have walked some of it on Saturday. You still got a good time though.

You were not the hottest person to pass me - there was one chap absolutely dripping . But there was one woman in long trousers and a jumper but she didn't look warm at all. She said it was all about the pace.

Injinji socks are great for running but not sure they’d help with heat? Maybe. You can also tape your feet to avoid blisters. Leukotape is the brand I have heard is excellent 👌🏽
