Can't quite believe I have completed 28 minutes outdoors. I am on run 2 week 8 and have done all my running exclusively on a treadmill, but as it is such a gorgeous day I decided I would see if I can actually venture outside. I was certain I wouldn't do it as everyone kept telling me I wasn't a proper runner on a treadmill and that I would find it really hard, well guess what.... I absolutely loved it, ran faster than my treadmill and feel amazing now. Please don't think I am being cocky, I am definitely not, I just want to encourage anyone who (like me) is a little nervous of going outdoors after treadmill running. Give it a go and see how far you can run. Mentally I ran out for 14 mins and then turned round and ran back so I knew if I collapsed on the way back I was closer to my car!! lol.
I have never been a runner before starting C25k, I have just lost 7 stone and wanted to see if I could try. What an amazing programme, and the advice on here has been fantastic.
