Help, How do I do this lol.? Strava, Spotify and Sarah, how do I carry them all or listen to them all at the same time, Do I have to dump something? I am going to try running outside tomorrow morning . I have done the whole thing plus my consolidation runs on the treadmill, but due to not having time to go to gym tomorrow night I am going to have a go at running outside early tomorrow morning. Normally my phone would sit nicely on the treadmill and I would listen to lovely music on spotify and Sarah's dulcet tones would do a speak over whenever I needed to know something, also I would watch the minutes slowly tick away and my treadmill would tell me how far I had run. Advice please, thanks.x

First of all take a deep breath....😊 Pick up your phone and either carry it or pop it in a pocket or bag or similar. I wear a waist belt as can’t run carrying it.

Find a lovely route you can walk or drive to. Step into the fresh air and do a warm up walk as usual. Pop your headphones in and off you go 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻‍♀️.!!

Most of all welcome to the world of outdoor running! 😎😎😎

Thank you, I am really overthinking this, I just need to get out there and get on with it. Missed my slot this morning tho , so going to have to juggle things today and back to gym tonight. Great outdoors on Monday, maybe.lol.xxx

I found my 1st outdoor run on week 1 a bit nerve wracking as so self conscious - but that quickly disappeared. You’ll do great I’m sure. 💪🏼

All three apps should play nicely together. Get your music going (you might want a long, dummy first track that you can skip through once all of the other stuff is underway).

The get the C25K up and going and do the smiley face thing.

Then get Strava going and do whatever you do with it (not used it yet, but this is what I do with the Apple workout app on my watch).

Then go back to c25k and hit the “go” button.

You should hear your coach over your music.

I wear shorts with zippy pockets and put my phone there. Belts/bands are popular.

I normally start walking whilst clicking onto my running playlist, i then set up my C25k App clicking the really happy face (obviously) and walk briskly for 4:30with my phone in hand keeping an eye on the time.

With 30 seconds of the walking left i open up my running app (I use MapMyRun but i hear Strava is really good) and when my c25k says go i click start workout on my running app, put my phone in my pocket and off i go!

Enjoy!

Hi, I use map my run, did you know you can delay the start? I set mine to start after five minutes so it's starts as my walk finishes.

I use all 3 of those - start Spotify first. Then get Strava going in the background. Then over to C25k. It all works fine for me. I have one of those armband things but am considering a waist belt instead.

Thanks, its good to know it all works together, my daughter has one of that arm things, that I thought I would use, but sadly my phone doesn't fit into it, was thinking I would get one, can you still see screen when its on your arm? But I need to wear my specs to read the screen anyway. lol. the joys of being ancient, lol.xxx

I have now got a waist bag - about £6.99 from Amazon. It fits my phone and a key and feels more secure than the armband. Was always worried my key would fall out of the armband!

I don’t use Spotify, Stravinsky or map my run (I use my watch workout app) but I do have a flip belt which is really good. I keep my phone and keys in there and never had a problem

Thanks Sandie, Stravinsky, I thought wow, that must be a very fancy thing that Iv not heard of.lol. Yes I need to get some kind of thing to carry the bits, had thought of an arm thing, but maybe a belt would be better.xx

I couldn’t be doing with something strapped round my arm. I don’t feel the belt and if it does begin to jiggle a bit I just pull down onto my hips and it’s all good again
