I am doing to 4:3diet and it is going well but find I can’t complete more than 18 mins of running on my three days of 500 cals, but can run OK on my “ eating” days .I am on W8R1 . Does anyone have any advice as to how I might complete my runs on the other days?

If you can run in the morning that might offer a solution. Eat normally the day before and then on the fast day, run in the morning. You will be fuelled from the previous day. Could work...I run very early and always on an empty stomach and it works for me.

As Zippy said, think about the timing of your runs. Do it when your at your strongest mentally and physically. You could also consider changing the days of your 4:3 diet to not start at midnight. You could start the "day" at noon, or some other suitable time to match your running schedule.

Maybe your diet is not compatible with exercising.

Perhaps you could just run on days when you are not short of fuel.

Most runners don't diet, they just eat a broad sensible array of food in moderation.
