Hi everyone, I'm running with the coach to 5k app. I'm just about to set off on week 2 run 3. I use the app to get round my local parkrun and when the kids are here I take them me on their bikes! Does anyone else use the app at parkrun or with younger children? Mine are 6 and 7.

I didn’t go to parkrun till week 8 and then I didn’t use the app because I was on to continuous runs and could just time them on my watch. But I know some people use the app there - when I’m tailwalking I notice the people with earphones who walk with me for five minutes then start to run It’s not a race so earphones are allowed but as there are lots of runners, and other park users as well, make sure you stay aware of your surroundings even with earphones in.
I find that just having one ear bud in is OK as I can still hear when to run and slow down but I can also chat to the marshalls... By chat I mean gasps out a 'thanks' as they cheer me on up the hill. I've only been 3 times but think I will carry on as the community aspect is nice and helps keep me doing the app.
