Just come back from week three run two, managed to miss the rain which was great! Slowed it right down today and put on a podcast rather than music, it really helped me lose track of time, does anyone else find this helps? It seemed to work well for me, what do you all prefer?

Well done for completing the run! I did mine this morning too and got soaked! I've never really tried running to a podcast , I'm a musician so I need up beat music to keep me going on a run! When's your next run?
Well done! Oh no getting soaked isn't fun, I went out at 9 so missed the downpour we had earlier. I found I was still thinking over the top of music "the songs nearly finished so the run must be done" etc so I found the podcast worked for me today, might try music again next week. Run three will be on Saturday morning I think or maybe Sunday morning, busy weekend coming up!
I mostly listen to audiobooks. If I have a good book that sometimes is the impetus to go running (no run, no book!). However it's nice to mix it up sometimes and especially nice to run with the sound of birds, a breeze and thoughts....
I like a podcast too, that way I run at a pace I’m comfortable with not the pace of the music.
